"Now here's the story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down..."
Jk
Na, but for real.
I wish I could say that I have been a consistent "Herbalifer" since that day at Swallow Cliff; but apparently, my love for fast food and drinks was too overpowering.
Long story short, I paid my membership for the 25% discount that I didn't use until a year later.
In all honesty, I wasn't ready.
I wasn't totally happy with my weight, but I wasn't willing to sacrifice my lifestyle either.
Yeah, sure I was almost 20lbs over my "normal" weight, but I figured, "as long as I can still button my pants, I'm good."
I never moved up sizes in clothes (although they were a bit snug). I did, however, spend a lot of money on cold medicine.
I literally had a cold at least twice a month from November thru April with sinus infections EVERY TIME.

| My breakfast was pretty much this...EVERYDAY... (With my sponsor having a heart attack with every post lol) |
Working in the education field, having this as a breakfast is pretty normal.
Coffee
Bagel w/ cream cheese & a coffee
Donut & a coffee
Breakfast sandwich & a coffee
Pretty much anything with a coffee
COFFEE IS A MUST!
And I didn't mind spending the money or time in the drive-thru. Well at least up until I lost hearing in my right ear for about a month.
Being temporarily death from one ear was one of the most scariest experiences in my life. I literally cried because I honestly thought I was going to be death for ever. But to my luck, my hearing problems were merely a sinus issue, which stemmed from all the times I had been sick.
If that wasn't a hint from above (or the universe), then idk what would be a hint enough for me to GET IT TOGETHER. Luckily, my sponsor was hosting a Body Transformation Challenge that would start the weekend after my birthday (April 1st); and everyone knows I LOVE competitions.

| These were my results |
So back to the point of this post...
From posting on FB and IG my workouts and meals, people started wondering what the heck I was taking. It also helped that my attitude completely changed. I was now super energetic and happier, I was able to last entire soccer games without feeling winded,
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY
my hearing came back and I didn't get sick as often.
Now, I'm in no way claiming that Herbalife cured my colds or my hearing. But what I AM saying is that this lifestyle helped me switch into a happier ME.
I was marketing myself and my potential business just by looking and feeling better. Friends and family were asking what I was doing, and at that point, why turn down an opportunity to make some extra cash?
Within the first two weeks of April I made about $70 selling 3-day trials. During that time, since I wasn't serious about the business aspect, I didn't keep track of my income. In May, however, I was curious to see how much I could actually make, so I began tracking my profit on an Excel sheet. I ended May with a profit of $197.74, not including the check I would receive from what my member had sold.
This is when I began understanding why Herbalifers seem like crackheads.
That feeling you get when someone thanks you for helping them reach their goal is inexplicable. And for someone who has no knowledge nor interest in sales, making a sale is a serious adrenaline rush! It was almost like a craving I had, every morning, to make a sale.
And then the universe slaps me in the face...
I lose my full time job.
